What’s Covered Under the Hyundai New Vehicle Warranty?
Before trading in your vehicle or your warranty coverage, it’s useful to know what’s actually protected. Hyundai’s new vehicle coverage offers a market-leading Powertrain Limited Warranty that lasts for 10 years or 100,000 miles. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty, which covers parts and systems outside of the powertrain, including the battery, audio systems, and air conditioning, lasts for five years or 60,000 miles. Additionally, you’ll also have the Anti-Perforation Warranty for rust or corrosion, which lasts seven years and unlimited miles, and 24-hour roadside assistance for five years and unlimited miles.
How Do I Transfer a New Vehicle Warranty?
If you are interested in selling your vehicle, it’s valuable to highlight the transferable warranty coverage. With Hyundai’s new vehicle warranties, most but not all of the coverage is transferrable to the second owner. You will be able to transfer the remainder of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty and the Anti-Perforation Warranty, as well as the roadside assistance. You will not be able to transfer the Powertrain Limited Warranty.
